Cleaning Sunbrellas

To clean a Sunbrella that’s still on the boat, follow these simple steps.

1. Brush off loose dirt, and rinse the surface with a hose.
2. Prepare a cleaning solution of ¼ cup mild soap (such as Woolite® or Dawn® dishwashing liquid) and one gallon of water.
3. Using a soft bristle brush, gently clean the fabric, allowing cleaning solution to soak in.
4. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
5. Air dry. Never use heat to dry marine fabrics.
6. Depending on the age of the fabric, you may not need to reapply water repellant.
